Difference?

Alright, I'm confused. How come art you spend so much time on, no one bats an eye? But something you spend a few minutes on, everyone and their grandpa loves???

...Am I doing it wrong? :'D Should I not try as hard?

It's something that eludes everyone.
Ultimately, do what you like and share what you want regardless of its popularity.
Every piece genuinely makes an impact.

I agree 100%. It's just I feel like I'm kinda lost with where to go with it. Don't get me wrong, drawing's a passion because I like to tell stories with it, it's just... I guess I'm used to the directions from really big artists in regards to what I need to practice on next, and hearing if I'm doing good so far. I don't think I'll ever draw for acknowledgement again, but it'll be something I always think about. o/

Picture this:
You are a apprentice monk taking advice from a grand Master.
Kung Fu is mastered after years and years of practice.
What you have to make clear is the style you want to learn and how to make it fit to your needs.
You don't need to master everything. You need to master what you need to.

Everyone wants to be recognized and appreciated for their work.
But the first person you must satisfy is yourself.
So, approach the style you want to pull.
-Polish the things you're good at.
-Try something new every once in a while.
-Adapt the advice you receive to your needs.
-And draw without fear.

There is no guarantee you will be a superstar, but you will have fun, that's the most important.

That's really good advice. ;-; In that case, I'll keep improving for me! Thanks, you are most wise. u-u
